Residential Energy Analysis - Title 24 Documentation
Since 1978, all new homes, additions, and alterations to existing homes within California are required to meet the minimum energy efficiency standards set by the California Energy Commission.
The California Energy Efficiency Standards were established in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California's energy consumption. The standards are updated periodically to allow consideration and inclusion of new energy efficiency measures in construction.
Building Permits
California Building Departments require a Title 24 - Energy Analysis Report to be submitted with your building plans before issuing a building permit for residential. Services for new construction, alteration, additions and accessory dwelling units (ADUs).
